Request Books
How to Request a Grant
We must receive a letter, signed by an authorized representative of the requesting organization, stating –
The nature of the organization
The books or worship resources being asked for and the quantity
The general use to which they will be put
That the requesting organization either does not have the resources to purchase, or that purchasing by the organization would represent an undue hardship
We must receive written concurrence/approval of the request by the Diocesan Bishop in whose jurisdiction the requesting organization is located
We frequently receive requests from diocesan liaisons to companion dioceses in Central or South America, the Caribbean, and other parts of the world. These requests require the written consent of the Diocesan Bishop where the request originated rather than where the books will be going. We also can process requests originating directly from dioceses in other parts of the world.
In most cases we will respond only to original letters with original signatures. We do not normally consider faxed or emailed requests. The same is also true for the approval letter from the Bishop.
